Answers Product Manager at Microsoft
Description
Community and Online Support (COS) is looking for a Product Manager to contribute in the shift towards a new vision of support across CSS. The Community Program Management Team plays a leadership role in the global community support and influencer strategy for CSS. This role will be responsible for driving awareness and adoption and strategic development for our consumer support offering, Microsoft Answers.
We are looking for a strategic leader with a track record of success driving internal business development through cross-group collaboration. This role demands strategic thinking, cross-team leadership and is dependent on the individual’s ability to demonstrate positive impact with the leadership-by-influence model. This role interacts with business leaders across CSS as well as The Consumer Business groups so an understanding of organizational strategies and structures is important.
The specific responsibilities of the Answers Product Manager:
Drive orchestration with cross organizational stakeholders including; consumer business groups, support delivery and other groups within CSS to synchronize the community support strategy for Microsoft Answers.
Identify opportunities for the implementation of Microsoft Answers across consumer product teams and WW subsidiaries
Identify business needs, analyze opportunities, build plans and implement community solutions to deliver on business goals.
Formally and informally gather site feedback and requirements from customers and partners.
Identify opportunities for integration of appropriate tools and technology to expand modes of customer interaction and content delivery.
Collaborate with site engineering and internal stakeholders on site design and feature development in alignment with community needs.
Plan and drive integration with key properties across the Microsoft ecosystem.
Successful candidates identify themselves with these attributes and experiences
1. Production experience as part of a team building / delivering web and interactive content and applications, either in a business or technical capacity.
2. Experience in solution design and appreciation of collaboration between designers and developers is preferred.
3. Open and respectful with others with strong cross group collaboration skills
4. Passion and demonstrated expertise as community practitioner
5. Enjoys solving complex projects in at-times ambiguous circumstance
The Community Program Management team runs on high octane and often we go into “turbo” mode - executing above and beyond the norm. Naturally, we are looking forward to hearing from those expert collaborators and master coordinators who have experience with driving results through challenging and complex cross-org projects.
