Marketing Specialist /Community Manager_6 months_San Francisco at Saicon Consultants Inc.

Description

We are looking for a passionate, seasoned and execution-oriented consumer marketing professional, proficient in leveraging social media and community building.

This is 6 months of Contact position at San Francisco.

Responsibilities

 As a community advocate, you will represent our consumers. This includes listening, responding, monitoring, and actively understanding what consumers are saying in both the corporate community as well as external websites. You will gather the requirements of the community in a responsible way and present it to product teams. This may involve formal product requirements methods from surveys to focus groups, to facilitating the relationships between product teams and customers.
 As a brand evangelist, you will promote events, products upgrades and other news to consumers by using traditional marketing tactics and conversational discussions based on trust. You will communicate the value of the service to consumers from the simple to the very complex. You will identify and engage champions.
 As an editor, you will use your expertise in the various tools of communication, from forums, to blogs, to podcasts, to twitter, to drive editorial strategy and planning, and then understand the language and jargon that is used in the community. You will work with many internal stakeholders to identify content, plan, publish, and follow up. You will mediate disputes within the community, will lean on advocates, and embrace detractors.
 You will also establish metrics & report on them including recommendations. You will participate in professional networking by following the prominent bloggers and online writers & attending events, and stay up to date on new social media tools, best practices and how other organizations and companies are using them.

Skills Required
 8+ years experience including 3+ as a community manager at internet, mobile, or technology company
 Demonstrated creativity and documented immersion in social media (please submit profile URL)
 Experience in content creation, editing & publishing
 Excels at research, possesses excellent writing skills and the ability and passion to produce a high volume of editorial and technical writing output
 Team player who over-communicates and has strong interpersonal skills
 Extensive knowledge of social media tools including YouTube, StumbleUpon, Delicious, Digg, Reddit, Flickr, Forums, Twitter, Wikis, blogs, etc…
 Knowledge of search engine optimization including basic keyword research
 Ability to use facts and metrics for problem solving and reporting
 Eager to meet and exceed objectives and take on more responsibility
 Enthusiastic user of a mobile phone.

Education
 Bachelor in advertising, marketing, English, communications, or related area
